Strength

Appendix D: Rule References / Ability

Strength

Strength measures physical might.
Strength Checks
Make a Strength check to lift, push, pull, or break something.
Saving Throw
Make a Strength saving throw to physically resist direct force.
Attacks Rolls and Damage
You add your Strength modifier to your attack roll and your damage roll when attacking with a melee weapon such as a mace, a battleaxe, or a javelin. You use melee weapons to make melee attacks in handto-hand combat, and some of them can be thrown to make a ranged attack.
Lifting and Carrying
Your size and Strength score determine the maximum weight in pounds that you can carry, as shown in the Carrying Capacity table. The table also shows the maximum weight you can drag, lift, or push.
